Cancellation and Refund Policy

At keralabekalhouseboat.com, we strive to provide the best possible experience for our guests. We understand that plans can change, so we have established the following cancellation and refund policy to address any changes to your booking.
1. Cancellation Policy
1.(a) Cancellation by the Guest
- Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the scheduled departure date:
Guests are eligible for a refund after deducting a cancellation handling fee of ₹1,500 per booking. - Cancellations made between 7 to 14 days before the scheduled departure date:
Guests will be entitled to a 50% refund of the total booking amount. - If the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled departure date:
The booking amount will be fully non-refundable.
1. (b) No-Show Policy
- In case a guest fails to report on the scheduled departure date without prior intimation:
The booking will be treated as a no-show, and no refund will be applicable.
2. Refund Policy
2.(a) Processing Refunds
- Refunds will be processed within 3 to 4 business days from the date of receiving the official cancellation request.
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of booking. In the case of payments made via credit or debit card, please note that it may take additional time for the amount to reflect in your account statement, depending on your bank’s processing timelines.
- In case of any changes or requests to update the receiving payment method, guests are requested to contact our accounts team directly for assistance and approval.
2. (b) Partial Refunds
- If a guest chooses to shorten their trip after the houseboat tour has commenced, no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the service.
3. Changes to Booking
3. (a) Rescheduling
- Guests can request to reschedule their booking up to 10 days before the scheduled departure date, subject to availability.
For rescheduling requests made within 10 days of the scheduled departure, a rescheduling fee of ₹1,500 will be applicable. Additionally, the revised booking will be subject to the applicable rates for the new dates selected.
3. (b) Changes to Itinerary
- Any modifications to the confirmed itinerary requested by the guest may attract additional charges, subject to the nature of the changes and service availability.

4. (a) Cancellation Due to Weather or Unforeseen Circumstances
- In the event of severe weather conditions, government restrictions, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we may be required to cancel your booking. In such cases, guests will be provided with the following options:
a) Reschedule the booking to an alternative available date at no extra cost.
b) Opt for a full refund of the booking amount paid.
4. (b) Cancellation Due to Operational Reasons
- If keralabekalhouseboat.com is required to cancel your booking due to operational reasons — such as mechanical issues with the houseboat, staffing challenges, or other service-related constraints — guests will be offered the option to either:
a) Receive a full refund of the booking amount paid, or
b) Reschedule the booking to a later available date without any additional charges.
